This website exists as a convenient place to post information about motorcycle rides that me and my
friends have taken, are planning on taking or wish we could take but can't get that much time off of work.
I stopped updating the website in 2021 because I'm lazy and I think I'm the only one that reads it anyway. Here
is a brief recap of trips we've taken since then.
The 2021 trip to Cumberland
became a trip to nearby Frostburg instead.
We changed our destination by a few miles when we read about the high crime rates around the hotel we were planning to stay in.
The trip itself went really great. At least from what I recall three years later it went really well. We had a larger group
with seven of us on four motorcycles. This time around we brought a support SUV to haul luggage and for us to use to go to
dinner or run errands in the evening. We were also joined a day into our trip by one of the riders spouse and their teenage son. They didn't go for any
of the rides but they went sight-seeing during the day and joined in the festivities in the evening.
In 2022
we rode to Ithaca, NY where one of our group owns a house on Cayuga Lake. That was the longest ride I had ever taken
on my motorcycle before. Again, we brought a SUV as a support vehicle. That trip was a little longer and it was also a lot of fun.
I had never been to that area before but our friends lived there for a long time and knew the area well. They also have an adult son
that rides so we were joined by him on some of our adventures which was great. I'll write more about that trip in this space eventually.
In 2023
we rode to the eastern shore of Maryland to attend the Ocean's Calling music festival. That was a fun ride in
part but most if it goes against my whole approach to motorcycling which is, back roads, nice curves, some hills and scenic views. Riding the the eastern shore
is mostly flat, straight and congested. We found some detours to make it tolerable but I have no desire to ride there again.
I am on Instagram. Sometimes I post things about motorcycle trips but mostly I post pictures of my grandkids or concerts that I go to. I try not to post pictures of food,
but I do post pictures of beer and that's probably just as bad.
